Photographer vs. Predator

I’ve been face to face with leopard seals in the Antarctic and they are enormously powerful and graceful at the same time. They are huge animals and widely regarded as the great whites of the antarctic (in fact leopard seals and great whites fill very similar ecological niches). Paul Nicklin is the preeminent polar photographer in the world and captures some absolutely stunning – and heart stopping – images. This is a fantastic story!

Incidentally, Paul is not related to Flip Nicklin, the noted cetacean photographer although he did apprentice with him!
